Title: Mikati: Confident of Reaching a Solution Regarding the Situation in Southern Lebanon in the Coming Days

The caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati confirmed that "the Lebanese have the will to live and challenge all difficult circumstances." He stated, "I am confident in the coming days that we will reach a solution" concerning the situation in Southern Lebanon. He added, "The will of the Lebanese is stronger than any problem, and they are determined to live."

Mikati's remarks came during the launch of the "We are Going on a Journey" campaign for the summer season of 2024 at the Beirut waterfront today, Monday. He said, "In the last two days, I saw how the Lebanese embrace the challenge and want to live despite all the difficulties. I visited the south, met with army officers and soldiers, and found how they are ready in their positions amid the events in Southern Lebanon. I also visited the official exam centers in Tyre and saw that students attended with minimal absence. Additionally, I visited the Children's Cancer Center today and checked on the official exams there and how committed the students are to attending seriously."

He added, "There are countries advising their citizens not to come to Lebanon, but we are certain that those who write such decisions wish to come to Lebanon. Arabs and foreigners love Lebanon, and we love them all, and they are welcome in our homeland."

Mikati concluded, "I am confident in the coming days that we will reach a solution. The will of the Lebanese is stronger than any problem, and they are determined to live." Attending the event were the ministers of tourism Walid Nassar, media Ziad Makari, industry Georges Boujkian, state minister for administrative development Najla Riachi, along with several political, tourism, and social figures.

For his part, Minister of Tourism Nassar affirmed during the campaign launch that "tourism contributes to providing job opportunities and increasing economic activity, which positively reflects on individual and community life." He stated, "We live in a period characterized by many challenges, and despite this, we are here today to talk about hope. Tourism builds bridges for communication between cultures and strengthens the economy, and we strive to promote a new culture that respects cultural and environmental heritage."
