Zamalek Club has confirmed its participation in the 33rd Dubai International Basketball Championship, which will take place at the Rashid bin Hamdan Hall of Al Nasr Club from January 19 to 28. This decision was made during a meeting held at the club's headquarters in Cairo yesterday, attended by Hisham Nasr, Vice President of the club, Awd Sami, Chairman of Sama Event Organizing Company, and Zamalek club members, including General Ahmed Suleiman, media figure Naira Al-Ahmar, and colleague Essam Farouk, host of the Al-Hadaf program on Cairo Radio.
Hisham Nasr stated that the Zamalek management will hold a press conference in the coming days to announce the team's sponsor for the tournament, noting that the Egyptian Super Cup, which will take place in the first half of January and includes top teams such as Al Ahly and Al Ittihad Al Sakandari, will serve as preparation for the team for the Dubai International, in which they are participating for the fifth time since its inception in 1989. He mentioned that the delegation will consist of 18 people, accompanied by club president Hussein Labib. Awd Sami expressed gratitude to Zamalek's management for their agreement, affirming that the presence of the esteemed Zamalek will provide strong momentum for the tournament.
