Lebanon and the Eastern Mediterranean basin are affected by a low-pressure system centered over Cyprus, accompanied by cold air masses bringing rain, snow in the high areas, active winds, and thunderstorms. This system will gradually recede starting this Monday afternoon as it moves eastward, with unstable weather continuing until Wednesday morning before becoming stable with a gradual rise in temperatures, which are expected to exceed seasonal averages by the end of next week. There is a warning against using mountain roads above 1700 meters due to snow accumulation.
The "Traffic Control Room" reported the following about the mountain roads:
- The roads of Dahar al-Baydar and Tarsheesh-Zahle are open to all vehicles.
- The closed roads include: Kfarzebian - Hadath Baalbek, Al-Aqoura - Hadath Baalbek, Ainata - Al-Arz, Jurd Marbeen - Hermel.
