OIC Holds Israel Fully Responsible for Haniya's Assassination

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has held Israel "fully responsible" for the assassination of Ismail Haniya, the head of Hamas's political bureau, last week in Tehran. The organization stated in a closing statement following an extraordinary meeting of its foreign ministers that it "strongly condemns the assassination of Ismail Haniya and holds Israel, the occupying power, fully responsible for this malicious act," which it considered "a serious violation of the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran and its territorial integrity and national security."
