An Egyptian citizen residing in Iraq committed a horrific crime by killing four Egyptians in the city of Basra, southern Iraq, which shocked both the Egyptian and Iraqi public. The Iraqi police arrested the Egyptian suspect who murdered the four Egyptians, dismembered their bodies, and disposed of them in two waste bins in the Al-Tuwaisah and Al-Dur Oil areas.
The Basra Police Command stated in a report that they received information about the discovery of dismembered body parts in the mentioned bins. The police clarified that they found evidence related to the murder, including blood-stained clothing, a hammer, a knife, and hair remains.
The report further indicated that after investigation and information gathering, it was revealed that four Egyptian nationals were reported missing, as confirmed by the Egyptian consulate in Basra. The police noted that these individuals were working at construction sites, and after extensive searching, they identified the perpetrator, who is an Egyptian national and was arrested after fleeing to the Baghdad governorate.
The report highlighted that the accused confessed to killing the four individuals, dismembering their bodies, and distributing them in various locations in central Basra.
