Hunter Biden: Republicans are Trying to Destroy His Father's Presidency

After being charged with tax evasion, Hunter Biden, son of U.S. President Joe Biden, stated that the indictment against him is an attempt to undermine his father's presidential term and that it is not solely about him. He added that Republicans are trying to harm him morally, indicating that this would cause more pain than his father can bear.

On Friday, President Joe Biden remained silent regarding the new allegations against his son Hunter concerning tax evasion, despite Hunter's extravagant spending on a "lavish" lifestyle, which includes drug use and the purchase of luxury goods while surrounding himself with companions. When asked as he left the White House for a trip to Nevada and California whether he believes his son is innocent, Biden simply waved to reporters, ignoring the question.

The Democratic president, who is seeking re-election next year, will inaugurate the first high-speed train in the United States between Las Vegas and Los Angeles before participating in campaign-related receptions.

It is worth noting that special investigator David Weiss, who is examining Hunter's personal and business dealings, announced on Thursday multiple charges for the second time against the president's son, including tax evasion of at least $1.4 million between 2016 and 2020. Weiss stated in the indictment, "The defendant spent millions of dollars on a lavish lifestyle at the same time he chose not to pay his taxes."
