The National Networks and Organizations Coalition for Monitoring Provincial and District Council Elections revealed today, Monday, that it recorded 281 incidents during the general voting process before noon. The coalition based its statistics on reports prepared by its observers across all Iraqi provinces.
The coalition's report stated that its observers sent 660 reports on incidents at polling centers to the coalition's operations room, confirming that 641 electoral stations opened on time (7:00 AM), while 19 stations were delayed.
The report noted that 82 voters had difficulty accessing polling stations, highlighting 6 attempts to prevent voters from reaching polling centers. Additionally, the coalition's observers documented 86 incidents of electoral campaigning by political entities, promoting candidates' advertising materials near polling stations.
Furthermore, the report detailed that observers recorded 12 incidents where security forces responsible for protecting polling stations prevented observers and agents of political entities from entering the polling centers. Also, 15 observers and political entity agents were expelled from the stations.
The report warned that there were 30 incidents of incomplete polling station teams being present on time, and recorded 18 cases of insufficient essential materials necessary for the voting process or equipment malfunction. Ultimately, the report concluded that the number of incidents of improperly installed surveillance cameras reached 32.
