Military confrontations continue in southern Lebanon between Hezbollah and the Israeli army at an escalating pace, with shelling reaching deep into the border villages, targeting a monitoring tower belonging to the Spanish battalion within the UNIFIL headquarters. The outskirts of the town of Kfarshuba have been subjected to artillery shelling from the Zabdine location, with a round fired approximately every fifteen minutes, accompanied by intensive low-flying reconnaissance drone activity in the airspace of the Arqoub area in Hasbaya.
Reports indicate that a telecommunications pole equipped with surveillance cameras belonging to Israeli forces was targeted by gunfire from Lebanon in the outskirts of the town of Wazzani, while the Israeli army shelled the outskirts of Wazzani in the Marjeyoun district. Additionally, Israeli artillery targeted the vicinity of the towns of Tyre Harfa, Blida, and Aita al-Chaab, as well as the area between Dhahiya and Alama al-Chaab, and the surroundings of the towns of Kfarshuba and Wazzani. The "Harj" of the town of Kounin and the outskirts of the town of Hula towards Wadi al-Salouki were also targeted.
According to Al-Manar’s correspondent, the "Branit barracks" located at the Lebanese border with occupied Palestine was targeted by missile fire.
On the ground, Hezbollah announced the execution of nine operations against Israeli positions and gatherings near the Lebanese border from late last night until now. The "Islamic Resistance" issued a statement indicating they targeted the Ramia site, resulting in direct hits to its facilities and casualties among those inside. They has successfully targeted a gathering of occupation soldiers near the Metula site, achieving direct hits, as well as targeting a gathering of enemy soldiers around the Ramia site, resulting in direct injuries.
Moreover, the group targeted the Samqa site in the occupied Chebaa Farms and a concentration of enemy soldiers nearby with appropriate missile weapons, achieving direct hits. They also targeted a gathering of enemy soldiers around the Ramia and Al-Baghdadi sites, and a troop gathering near the Ruwaisah al-Asi with suitable weaponry, resulting in direct injuries. Additionally, they struck the command headquarters of the 91st Brigade at the Branit barracks with missile weapons, achieving a direct hit, and targeted the naval site at Naqoura with appropriate weaponry, resulting in direct injuries.
Hezbollah issued a statement mourning one of its fighters, Hassan Kamal Sarour, known as "Mohammad Musa," from the town of Aita al-Chaab in southern Lebanon.
On the other hand, Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee stated that "Israeli Air Force fighter jets targeted a series of Hezbollah objectives inside Lebanon during the night, including operational command posts used by the party." He also reported, "Several shells were tracked launched from Lebanon toward Israel during the night hours, prompting the military to respond to the sources of the fire."
