Etihad Airways in the UAE announced today, Friday, the beginning of operations for its giant A380 aircraft to Singapore starting February 1, 2025. The airline will also enhance its flights to Thailand, increasing them to 41 weekly flights starting October 27, with 21 flights to Bangkok and 20 flights to Phuket, compared to the current 35 flights, which are distributed between 18 flights to Bangkok and 17 to Phuket.
The carrier stated in a press release that Singapore will be the fourth major city to experience the A380 aircraft, alongside London, New York, and Paris, with the giant aircraft scheduled to commence operations to Paris on November 1.
For his part, Etihad Airways CEO Antonoaldo Neves said, "We are pleased to operate the iconic A380 on the Singapore route early next year. This aircraft offers passengers an exceptional travel experience and seamless connections to our destinations in the Middle East, Europe, and North America."
