1650 Employees in UAE Company Commit to Donating Organs

Up to 1,650 employees at Aries Group, based in the United Arab Emirates, have pledged to donate their organs during a program organized at the company's headquarters in Sharjah last week. More than half of the participating employees are from the UAE, while the rest are from the company’s offices around the world. Sohan Roy, founder, chairman, and CEO of Aries Group, praised this achievement as a new asset in their commitment to social causes.

As part of its efforts to raise awareness and encourage organ donation, the group announced that 90% of future job vacancies will be allocated to those who support the organ donation campaign. Roy stated, "The initiative goes beyond just a charitable endeavor. It aligns with the spirit of Aries Group, which emphasizes health preservation not only for employees but also for their families through organ donation."

He mentioned that the group collaborated with the Green Life organization run by Father Davis Chirammil, the official volunteer for the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention's organ donation program. "Hayat" is a national system aimed at promoting efforts to encourage more people to donate human organs and tissues, according to international standards and practices. Green Life is an initiative by Father Davis Chirammil, dedicated to promoting deceased organ donation and improving the lives of those affected by organ failure.

Last month, Father Chirammil was appointed "Hero of Life" and invited to support the organ donation program in the country. Roy remarked that Father Chirammil's guidance in securing official approval for the UAE campaign is a testament to the collective will and unity behind this transformative cause. He added, "By supporting organ donation, we are fostering a culture of self-care among employees, recognizing that their well-being directly impacts organizational success."

Aries Group, a leader in the maritime industry, is based in Sharjah and operates 60 companies in 25 countries.
