On Thursday, the Minister of Public Works and Transport in the caretaker government, Ali Hamiye, held an expanded administrative meeting in his office at the ministry. He met with General Director Ali Haballah and all the directors and heads of departments concerned with road and building files. The meeting focused on following up on preparations to implement measures outlined in the ministry's emergency plan in case any emergencies arise. Discussions also included issues related to landslides and the cleaning and maintenance of rainwater drainage systems, as well as snow removal equipment.
Hamiye provided a comprehensive overview of all matters related to these files, stating, "It is known that the ministry had prepared an emergency plan concerning these matters, particularly those addressed by the General Directorate of Roads and Buildings." He emphasized the necessity of following up on the recommended measures and preparations to ensure their implementation in case of any emergencies under the current circumstances the country is experiencing.
Additionally, he addressed the actions related to the clearing and cleaning of rainwater drainage systems for the upcoming season, reaffirming the ongoing efforts to manage landslides and the measures taken to avoid any risks that may occur during the rainy season. He stressed the importance of monitoring the execution of these measures on the ground to ensure their completion as quickly as possible.
