The Tunisian and Algerian teams started their journey in the 25th Arab Basketball Championship, which kicked off today, Tuesday, at the Cairo Stadium, with deserving victories over Kuwait and Somalia. In the first match, within the highly competitive second group, the Tunisian team, last tournament's runner-up, achieved a comprehensive victory over the Kuwaiti team with a score of 69/85. The results of the quarters were as follows: 21/15, 11/25, 22/21, and 15/24.
In the first group, the Algerian team managed to secure a valuable win against their Somali counterparts with a score of 75/80, with the quarter results being: 15/19, 19/21, 22/33, and 19/17.
The second round of the tournament will resume today, Wednesday, with three matches. The first match will be between Mauritania and Libya in the first group in the afternoon local time, followed by Tunisia facing Morocco in the second group at 4:30 PM, and Egypt against Kuwait in the same group at 7 PM.
