UAE Honors Winners of the 18th Sheikh Zayed Book Award

Under the patronage of UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Diab Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the UAE Presidential Court for Development Affairs and Martyrs' Families, honored the winners of the Sheikh Zayed Book Award in its 18th edition during a ceremony organized by the Abu Dhabi Center for Arabic Language, alongside the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2024, which runs until May 5, 2024, at the Adnec Abu Dhabi.

This current edition witnessed the highest number of entries in the award's history, attracting 4,240 nominations, with participation increasing to 74 countries, including 19 Arab nations and 55 others. Diab honored the winners across various categories, as the Sheikh Zayed Book Award celebrates outstanding achievements of creatives and thinkers in the fields of literature, arts, and humanities in Arabic and other languages.

The award also recognizes authors who write about Arab culture and civilization in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Russian. Since its launch in 2006, the award has aimed to support the literary movement, authorship, and translation, enriching the intellectual, cultural, and literary scene across various fields of knowledge and humanities.
