Title: Arrest in Bicycle Theft Operation

A statement was issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division, as follows: "As part of the daily follow-up conducted by the specialized units in the Internal Security Forces to pursue motorcycle theft gangs in various Lebanese areas and arrest their members, information was gathered by the Information Branch regarding the activity of an individual transporting stolen motorcycles from the Sabra camp to the Bekaa region.

Consequently, the specialized units of the branch commenced field and investigative procedures to identify and apprehend the suspect. As a result of extensive inquiries and investigations, his identity was established; he is identified as: A.D. (born in 1989, Lebanese).

After careful surveillance, one of the branch patrols managed to set up a well-organized ambush in the Al-Sayyad area, which led to his arrest while he was driving a white "Mercedes" van, during which he was transporting a stolen motorcycle, a "Landee" model without plates, from the vicinity of the Kuwaiti embassy. A search of him and the van yielded cash and two cell phones.

During interrogation, he confessed to the charges against him regarding the transportation of dozens of stolen motorcycles from the Sabra camp to the Bekaa area, approximately two months ago, averaging four motorcycles per week in exchange for three million Lebanese pounds for each stolen motorcycle.

The necessary legal actions were taken against him, and he, along with the seized items, was referred to the appropriate authority, based on judicial directives, and efforts continue to arrest other accomplices."
