Serious Case Revealed by the Death of an Egyptian Woman in Kuwait

The Kuwaiti newspaper "Al-Rai" revealed a story described as almost fictional, noting that it uncovers shocking operations of manipulation and forgery. The report stated that a woman married to a Kuwaiti citizen, officially documented as being part of the "stateless" category, was found to be of Egyptian nationality after her death. It was established that she left the country in 2000 and had not re-entered according to official records, yet she was living in Kuwait.

The newspaper continued: "As for how she returned to the country and was classified as stateless, this is what investigative officers are trying to find out, in cooperation with the Central Authority for Illegal Residents."

The report indicates that security authorities received a report about the death of a woman in a hospital, categorized as an illegal resident, who was married to a citizen. Following routine procedures, her body was transferred to forensic examination, and upon taking her fingerprints, it was revealed that she was of Egyptian nationality.

A security source stated that one of the police stations was informed of the incident, a case was recorded, and it was referred to the General Department of Criminal Investigations for inquiry. Investigation revealed that the deceased was indeed of Egyptian nationality and had been living in Kuwait under the sponsorship of one of her husband's relatives, having left the country in 2000.

Additionally, it was confirmed in her marriage contract to the citizen and the birth certificates of her children that she was classified as "stateless." Consequently, the Central Authority for Illegal Residents was contacted to clarify more details to ascertain the truth, with the husband summoned for investigation concerning a case of forgery and providing false information. The burial of the body was delayed until the Egyptian embassy was notified.
