Burglary at a Home in Sayfiyeh and Arrest of One Suspect

A statement issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division states: "On 20-07-2024, two unknown individuals entered a citizen's home in Sayfiyeh by climbing in and stole 12,000 US dollars, 6,500 euros, an iPad, and two mobile phones, then fled to an unknown location. Immediately, the specialized units in the Information Branch began field and investigative measures to uncover the identities of the thieves and arrest them. As a result of continued monitoring, inquiries, and investigations, the branch was able to identify them within less than 48 hours, including the individual known as A. A. (born in 1994, Lebanese) who has prior convictions for theft. On 22-07-2024, following surveillance, one of the branch’s patrols arrested him in the Sabra area and seized a quantity of salvia in his possession. During the interrogation, he confessed to the charges against him regarding the burglary of the aforementioned home by climbing in, in collaboration with the individual known as K. K. (born in 1998, of unknown status), who remains at large, along with stealing the claimed money and devices, stating that the stolen items are in the possession of his accomplice. Legal measures were taken against him, and he was placed with the seized items in the competent authority, while efforts continue to apprehend the second perpetrator."
