Title: Arrest of an Terrorist Element and Four Drug Traffickers in Iraqi Provinces

The Iraqi Directorate General for Intelligence and Security announced on Tuesday the arrest of a terrorist element and four drug traffickers in various provinces. The spokesperson for the Security Media Cell, Major Mukdad Miri, stated that "as part of the series of specialized operations carried out by the Directorate General for Intelligence and Security in the Ministry of Defense to pursue remnants of terrorist gangs and drug traffickers, and based on accurate intelligence information, the directorate's units succeeded in apprehending one terrorist element and four drug dealers and promoters of narcotic substances in the provinces of Al-Muthanna, Dhi Qar, and Najaf, against whom arrest warrants had been issued under the provisions of Articles (1/4 Terrorism, 28 Narcotics)." Miri added: "Legal procedures have been taken against them, and they have been referred to the judiciary to receive their just punishment."
