1360 Camels Participate in the First Day of the Dubai Crown Prince Camel Festival

The activities of the seventh edition of the Dubai Crown Prince Camel Festival commenced today, Saturday, at the Marmoom Camel Racing Arena, organized under the supervision of the Dubai Camel Racing Club. The event kicked off with the races for the Al-Haqaqa category for camels owned by tribes, featuring thirty heats over a distance of four kilometers, with the participation of more than 1360 camels brought by camel owners from various racing fields across the UAE and the Gulf Cooperation Council, all in pursuit of prestigious titles.

The "Qatari emblem," owned by Rashid Mohsen Ali Tithab Al-Nadila, made its mark in the first heat designated for the open female Al-Haqaqa, with (Al-Fariqa) finishing at the front with a time of 5:52.6 minutes. (Ajeeb) shone in the second heat for the open male Al-Haqaqa, managing to clinch victory in a strong competition with a time of 5:51.6 minutes, gifting its owner, Saeed Mohammed Mubarak Al-Khaili, the precious title.

The third heat, also for the open female Al-Haqaqa, saw Rashid Mohsen Ali Tithab Al-Nadila adding a second point with (Sarabah) winning first place with a time of 5:55.1 minutes. (Mabshir), owned by Saleh Saeed Harbi Salem Al-Amri, emerged as the champion in the fourth heat for the open male Al-Haqaqa, crossing the finish line in a time of 5:55.3 minutes.

The camel owners are eagerly awaiting the hot competition for the Al-Haqaqa titles for camels owned by tribes during the Dubai Crown Prince Camel Festival 2024, which is expected to take place tomorrow at the Marmoom Racing Arena. Various emblems will compete for the Dubai Crown Prince Cup for open female Al-Haqaqa with a prize of 1.5 million dirhams, the Dubai Crown Prince Cup for open female Al-Haqaqa for production with a prize of one million dirhams, as well as the open male Al-Haqaqa rifle with a prize of one million dirhams, and the open male Al-Haqaqa rifle for production with a cash prize of 800,000 dirhams.

It is worth noting that the evening session will feature 15 heats, four of which are dedicated to emblem competitions, while the morning session will host 20 heats, including twelve challenges for production camels owned by tribes.
