Scandal: Egyptian MP Caught Cheating in University Exams

A regrettable incident occurred at the South Valley University in southern Egypt, where a member of parliament was caught cheating during her exams at the Faculty of Law. The event began with a verbal altercation between a third-year law student (part-time) and a university professor responsible for monitoring the exams. The professor caught the student cheating using wireless earphones. The situation escalated when the MP physically assaulted another monitor who attempted to intervene.

According to the university's details about the incident, one of the teaching assistants was inspecting the third-year part-time law students during the administrative judiciary exam when she heard a sound coming from one of the students. As the monitor approached to investigate the source of the noise, she discovered that the student was wearing a wireless earphone connected to a device and was cheating. She immediately requested the student to remove the earphone.

The student, however, refused to comply and assaulted the monitor. When another monitor attempted to help her colleague, she was also attacked. It later became clear that the student was a member of the House of Representatives. Subsequently, a cheating report was filed against her upon being caught in the act.

The university has decided to take the necessary actions against the MP and escalate the matter to the relevant authorities. It was revealed that the parliamentarian, referred to as "N R", is a member of the Egyptian House of Representatives representing one of the Upper Egypt governorates and is affiliated with one of the major political parties. She is currently studying in the third year (part-time) at the Faculty of Law at South Valley University.
