As the official return of football matches in Saudi Arabia approaches, the famous Tunisian commentator Raouf Khlif has revealed a surprise regarding his future. In a conversation with the "Forum" platform, Khlif announced that he will be appearing for the first time on "MBC Masr" as part of a collaboration with the Saudi SSC sports channels, which Khlif joined last summer after leaving the Qatari "beIN Sports" network following a long career. When asked about the 2024 Paris Olympics, especially regarding the opening ceremony, which he found lacking in quality, Khlif described the presentation of the ceremony as a tragedy and a source of disgust in Arab circles, stating that it was executed in a manner that was "embarrassing" and that France disappointed expectations.
Regarding the differences between Arabic commentary and foreign commentary, Khlif noted that Arabic commentary resembles South American commentary, relying on the commentator's enthusiasm in performance, unlike the European school, which tends to be more subdued. When discussing the challenge of increasing the excitement of a match for the viewer through commentary, Khlif emphasized that a successful commentator is one who can engage the viewer with the match even when the game's flow is ordinary.
