An Egyptian teacher lost his life yesterday, Saturday, due to a minibus accident in front of the city of West Qena on the desert road in Qena Governorate, Egypt. He left a farewell message for his students via "WhatsApp," as if he knew the date of his death.
The touching message written by Atef Zareef, a French language teacher at "Martyr Abdel Monem Riyad" Secondary School in Qena, addressed his students in a WhatsApp group: "Peace be upon you! My dear children.. I wish you success in what is to come, and may you be in the best colleges, and achieve the highest degrees.. Good luck.. I wish you a dignified and bright future.. I hope you do not forget me in your prayers.. Always remember me with goodwill, it has been three enjoyable years with you in lessons and on the group.. This is the way of life, that we part ways.. I will leave the sunset now, and you will too after me, once the mission has ended.. Peace be upon you."
The village of Marashda, belonging to the Qena district, witnessed grief among its residents for Riyad, who had a significant impact on many students during their academic journey with the French language in secondary education. The official pages of the Qena Educational Administration and the "Martyr Abdel Monem Riyad" Secondary School also mourned the late teacher.
