The Deputy Secretary-General of "Hezbollah," Sheikh Naim Qassem, announced that "our sacrifices in Lebanon were noble and honorable, presented with all sincerity. The resistance of Hezbollah and all the Lebanese people who supported this resistance demonstrated that they stand for protecting Lebanon, supporting Gaza, and granting rightful claims to their owners." In a celebration organized by the Islamic Religious Education Association in Beirut, he stated, "Rest assured that these sacrifices in Lebanon have thwarted Israeli projects through Lebanon, not only for this stage but for the years to come and for the future. There is no longer anything called resettlement or Israeli settlements in southern Lebanon, nor is there anything called presidential elections in Lebanon with Israeli intervention, and nothing about shaping the future of our children with curricula dictated by Israel, which removes what it wants from these curricula, as it does in some Arab countries."
He added, "Our martyrs, our people, and our wounded are a source of pride and dignity for us, and they are the builders of Lebanon's future. We will preserve their achievements from being squandered by the disheartened and lost; they will not be at the forefront to waste what the resistors have achieved. As for the intimidation carried out by some Zionist leaders, such intimidation will not be effective against us because we are determined to defend our land and the future of our children, no matter the sacrifices. You tried in the past and were defeated; if you try again now, you will be defeated, and this is linked to the divine promise to us."
He continued, "We must point out an important matter. Haven't you noticed how the performance has changed on the southern front, and how our struggling brothers benefited from the lessons and experiences, employing modern strategies? They addressed some issues and revealed certain capabilities that were able to thwart their assaults and achieve significant accomplishments against the other side? This is a major achievement."
He elaborated, "In every war in the world, when the war ends, they study the positives and negatives and address the negatives for the upcoming war. We studied the positives and negatives from the first two months and made the necessary adjustments to ensure a significant accomplishment, which is what the fighters achieved. Supporting Gaza has created a new model in the region. Just as America has its oppressive and murderous axis, the oppressed have their cohesive and faithful axis that supports one another."
Qassem concluded: "We will present our vision for southern Lebanon after the complete ceasefire in Gaza; until then, we will not present anything. As for how our political vision will be and how we will interact at the borders, God willing, this will be discussed later from a position of parity and rightful claim, and we will be victorious."
