Date and Place of Haniyeh's Funeral

The Hamas movement announced in a statement today, Wednesday, that "official and popular funeral ceremonies will be held in the Iranian capital Tehran tomorrow, Thursday, for Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the movement's political bureau, before the body is transferred to Qatar where the funeral prayer will be held and burial will take place after tomorrow, Friday." The statement mentioned: "Official and popular ceremonies will be conducted for the martyr leader Ismail Haniyeh in the Iranian capital Tehran tomorrow, Thursday... The funeral prayer for the soul of the martyr leader will be held at the Imam Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab Mosque in Doha after Friday prayers." The Iranian news agency "Tasnim" reported today, Wednesday, that "the body of the head of Hamas's political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, will be buried in Tehran where he was assassinated." These ceremonies are expected to take place tomorrow, Thursday, according to local media. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard confirmed today, Wednesday, the death of Haniyeh and one of his personal guards after targeting his residence in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
