The Israeli army has completed its preparations for an invasion of Lebanon, and according to military and media indicators, war is expected to start within days. This will include a ground invasion of southern Lebanon and airstrikes across the entire country targeting military sites and infrastructure. Regarding this conflict, Ivan Chubrov wrote in "Arguments and Facts": The Israeli army has approved the combat plans for attacking Lebanon, as announced by the army's press service through its Telegram channel.
According to Sergey Palmasov, an expert at the Middle East Institute, Israel is currently waging an information war against Lebanon. He stated, "If the Israelis can finally cleanse the remnants of the Gaza Strip, the security logic dictates that, after destroying one enemy, the necessity arises to eliminate the other. This is a good moment to carry out a cleansing operation against Hezbollah, amid the wave of anger towards it." Palmasov added that Tel Aviv is convinced that Hezbollah is one of Iran's tools attacking Israel. Eliminating this group would constitute a serious defeat for Iran.
"Moreover, there are many Sunni representatives in the region who would welcome this. Many in Lebanon even consider this organization (Hezbollah) to be a foreign body." Palmasov is not surprised that the international community has not reacted to the Israeli army's aggressive statement. He noted, "There will be a reaction from the United Nations to the invasion itself. But what good will that do? It is like the clucking of chickens in a coop, as a weasel enters and begins to strangle the hens one by one. We all know that real matters are determined on the battlefield."
