Alaa Mubarak Shares Video on the Anniversary of His Father's Death

Alaa Mubarak, son of the late Egyptian President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak, shared a widely circulated clip on the fourth anniversary of his father's death, which occurred on February 25, 2020. Alaa Mubarak re-broadcast a part of his father's speech addressed to Egyptians on the morning of January 29, 2011, the fourth day of the protests that began on January 25, 2011. In the emotional video, Mubarak affirmed that Egypt is above individuals and everyone, that it is the land of life and death, and that its people will always remain dignified, proud, and honored.

Alaa Mubarak tweeted on the anniversary of his father's death, reflecting on his touching words: "May God have mercy on you."

He also shared a clip of the late President Hosni Mubarak reacting to the song "To You, O Egypt, Safety," where he was seen singing the lyrics with a police officer during one of its celebrations, engaging deeply with the song.

It is noteworthy that former President Hosni Mubarak passed away on February 25, 2020, at the age of 92, after being in intensive care as his health deteriorated. Doctors informed the family that his condition was very critical after most of his vital organs ceased functioning, leading to his passing. Egypt declared three days of mourning.
