A horrific accident occurred on the ring road in Giza Governorate, Egypt, involving a collision between 12 cars, including a heavy truck, resulting in approximately 26 injuries. Traffic and ambulance units swiftly responded to the scene of the incident. The incident began when the General Traffic Operations Room received a report from the ring road authorities about a collision involving two trucks, one carrying building materials (sand), which caused several vehicles to stop on the road, followed by the crushing of 11 other cars.
A significant accident on the ring road involving 12 cars occurred at 5 AM, completely closing the road for those coming from October City and the Wahat Road towards Al-Ramayah, with the crash located above the western curve after the Shell gas station.
The Giza Prosecution quickly ordered the review of surveillance cameras in the vicinity of the accident to understand the circumstances surrounding it, and they decided to detain the driver of the truck responsible for the incident. According to local media reports, Giza investigations are "listening to the testimonies of eyewitnesses and the owners of the cars that were damaged in the incident to gather necessary information and data."
