"Al Ain Municipality" Launches First Site for RVs and Camping

Al Ain City Municipality has inaugurated the "RV Park," which is the first site for recreational vehicles and camping in the city, as part of the strategy of the Department of Municipalities and Transport and the municipality's plan to introduce new tourist destinations. Project Manager of the "RV Park," Matar Saghir Al-Dhaheri, stated, "The project represents a new distinctive and safe destination for camping and recreation, adding to the entertainment and natural destinations in Al Ain City, as it is an ideal location for the camping experience provided by the municipality in this park, through equipping vast areas to accommodate recreational vehicles and campers of all sizes." He pointed out that "the location is characterized by its natural environment and its proximity to various recreational and tourist activities, such as the Seventh Market and fuel stations, making it the perfect place for families and adventure enthusiasts."

He added that "Al Ain City Municipality is keen on providing new attractive tourist experiences for visitors and camping enthusiasts, as it has offered distinctive services in the park that make the experience comfortable and enjoyable." He clarified that "those interested can benefit from reserving the park through the RV camping website by registering and completing the requirements, specifying the duration of stay up to a maximum of three days, to allow the largest number of visitors to enjoy the park's camping services."

He continued, "Al Ain City Municipality has designated two camping areas on the Al Ain – Nahil road. The first is for recreational vehicles, which is a fenced area spanning approximately 539,000 square meters, equipped with lighting, sewage services, and food trucks. The second is an open camping area that extends from Exit 25 to the city of Nahil, covering 18 km on each side of the road; camping is allowed in this area up to 1 kilometer inward."

Al-Dhaheri explained that "Al Ain City Municipality has set a number of conditions to preserve the surrounding environment and wildlife of the park, including the obligation to display the designated booking number when entering the camping area, driving vehicles at a low speed not exceeding 20 kilometers per hour, and adhering to the booking site without changing it."

He emphasized that "cutting down trees or tampering with any public property in the camping area is strictly prohibited, as is the use of loud power generators, floodlights, and loudspeakers, while silent and low-noise generators are allowed."

The camping instructions and regulations include respecting the privacy of others, not using unlicensed motorcycles and recreational vehicles in the area, based on the directives of the traffic and patrol department, in addition to maintaining the environment and disposing of waste properly and in designated areas.
