Israeli Torture Methods Against Palestinians

A report from the United Nations, released today, revealed the torture methods used by Israel against Palestinian detainees from Gaza, resulting in the deaths of at least 53 individuals. The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights stated in the report that thousands of Palestinians were forcibly removed from Gaza, sometimes from shelters protecting them from bombings, and taken to detention centers in Israel, where some were tortured and dozens died. The report mentioned that "Israel employed dogs and waterboarding against detainees," adding that "at least 53 of these detainees died in Israeli detention centers and prisons." UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk condemned the "horrific actions against Palestinian detainees."
