Musician Mustafa Kamel, the head of the Musicians' Syndicate in Egypt, commented on Ali Al-Shirei's report to the Public Prosecutor regarding the death of composer Helmi Bakar following a battle with illness. Kamel confirmed in a statement to "Cairo 24" that he, along with the members of the Musicians' Syndicate Council, will support Al-Shirei in his report to the Public Prosecutor to investigate the death of the esteemed composer Helmi Bakar, 86, due to the ambiguity surrounding his passing.

Mustafa Kamel explained that Ali Al-Shirei proposed submitting a report to the Public Prosecutor regarding Helmi Bakar's death, and the council unanimously agreed to this step. The head of the Musicians’ Syndicate emphasized that they will support Al-Shirei in all steps until the truth is revealed.

For his part, Mohamed Mohamed Abu El-Yazid, the deputy of the Musicians' Syndicate, stated that the syndicate's members fully support Al-Shirei's suggestion and will provide him with the necessary assistance. The chair of the Public Relations Committee for security entities within the syndicate submitted a report to the Public Prosecutor to investigate Helmi Bakar's death, indicating in the memorandum, "In light of the circulating news about the death of composer Helmi Bakar, the late artist is a member of the working association in the Musicians' Syndicate, in addition to his significant artistic value. Out of the syndicate's commitment to its members and based on calls from the general assembly of musicians, I have been authorized by the board to take legal action regarding the incident of the late composer because it is among the syndicate's responsibilities to protect its members."

Al-Shirei added in his memorandum: "Based on all of the above, I, Ali Al-Shirei, in my capacity as the head of the Public Relations Security Committee of the Musicians' Syndicate and a board member, will submit a report to the Public Prosecutor's office regarding the death of composer Helmi Bakar based on the authorization received from the Musicians' Syndicate board. This is aimed at clarifying the accuracy of what is being said about the circumstances of the passing of the late composer Helmi Bakar and whether there are any criminal implications. This commitment arises from the syndicate's responsibility to uphold the rights and reputation of its members, especially since the deceased has a significant artistic legacy."

He urged the late composer's audience to provide any information they have regarding this incident to the officials in the syndicate or present it to investigation authorities to help in revealing the truth.
