On February 29, 2024, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: A body of an unidentified Indian national, known as "Jesse," was found in the Dekwaneh area after falling from the fourth floor. Reports suggested he committed suicide by jumping from his apartment. Consequently, specialized units of the Information Branch began field and investigative procedures in the vicinity due to suspicions of a murder.
As a result of inquiries and investigations within hours, the branch suspected a connection to the murder involving another Indian citizen: S.K. (born in 1975). On the same date, a patrol from the branch managed to arrest the suspect in Dekwaneh, with visible bruises on his face. During the initial investigation, he denied his involvement in the murder, but after being confronted with evidence implicating him, he confessed to committing the crime. He explained that the victim had harassed his girlfriend, leading to a fight that escalated into a scuffle, during which he pushed Jesse from the fourth-floor balcony. Legal measures were taken against him, and he was referred to the concerned authority based on the instructions of the relevant judiciary.
