The White House Denies Russian Claims of Election Interference

The White House denied on Tuesday the Russian allegations that the United States is attempting to interfere in the presidential elections, stating: "It is completely false," while reiterating its accusations against Moscow for interfering in elections in the United States and other countries. The Russian foreign intelligence service, according to official media, claimed that the United States planned to launch a cyberattack on the online voting system. A spokesperson for the White House National Security Council said: "These claims are categorically false and are nothing more than propaganda... The United States has not and will not interfere in Russian elections." He added: "Russia has a long history of targeting U.S. elections and other democratic elections. Instead of spreading lies, Russia should stop such activities." Official media reported that the Russian foreign intelligence service stated on Monday that it received information suggesting that the Biden administration intends to interfere in the Russian elections, without providing evidence.
