Moroccan model Ibtissam Batma shared new photos of herself with her sister Donia, who is serving her sentence in prison due to the case known in the media as "Hamza Mon Bebbi." Ibtissam posted a series of photos on her official Instagram account featuring her controversial singer sister, accompanied by a heartfelt message stating, "My sister, my support, my lifetime companion, and the soul of my soul, a piece of my heart, a source of unlimited giving, tenderness, love, and goodness."
She added in another photoshoot, "She is a great person; her presence in my life is enough to fill me with every feeling. I miss you, my sister, my life companion; existence without you in my sight has no meaning or taste." Ibtissam also posted additional photos from the same session with Donia Batma, writing, "May God reunite us, and may we see your smile."
In January 31, the Moroccan police arrested singer Donia Batma in a neighborhood of Casablanca, leading to her transfer to the Weladia prison in Marrakesh to serve her sentence. This arrest was executed by the judicial police in Casablanca in coordination with their counterparts in Marrakesh. This comes after the Court of Cassation in the Moroccan capital Rabat denied Donia Batma's request to cancel her one-year prison sentence after proving her connection to the "Hamza Mon Bebbi" account.
It's worth noting that the primary court in Marrakesh had previously issued an eight-month prison sentence against Donia in 2020, followed by an appeal court ruling that added four additional months, resulting in a total of one year. The "Hamza Mon Bebbi" case began a few years ago when an unidentified individual created an account on Snapchat targeting Moroccan female artists, revealing their dubious practices and relationships with wealthy men, which caused significant uproar in the country. Donia Batma and her sister were accused of managing the account, leading to the latter serving a complete year in prison.
