Jumblatt Receives Delegation from Border Towns

The head of the Lebanese Forces party, Samir Geagea, stated that he is "fully prepared to help with various demands of the border towns, to the extent that the Forces can assist," and urged them not to hesitate to ask for assistance when needed.

During a reception of a delegation from the border towns of Rmeish, Ain Ebel, Debel, and Qozh, in the presence of the Forces envoy to certain southern areas, Jan Alam, the coordinator of the Bint Jbeil region, Joseph Suleiman, and the heads of the Forces centers in the mentioned towns, Geagea noted that "the Forces are very transparent in this regard. While it is true that we will not hesitate to do what we can, at the same time we do not possess the resources of the state. Therefore, when there is something beyond our capacity or something we cannot do, we will inform you of that frankly and clearly."

During the meeting, the delegation presented the problems faced by the region, particularly regarding educational and health affairs, as well as marginalization within state administrations. Geagea emphasized that "it is one of the least responsibilities of the state to address these vital issues instead of ignoring them and acting selectively and discriminatorily."

For his part, Geagea praised the residents of Rmeish, Ain Ebel, Debel, and Qozh for their steadfastness in their land amidst the current situation, and assured the delegation that "the Lebanese Forces stand, as always, by the people of the region and prioritize them over other areas since the beginning of the deterioration of security conditions in the south."
