On Wednesday, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received the princes of the regions that make up the Kingdom during the 31st annual meeting held in Jeddah. During the reception, Prince Mohammed bin Salman was briefed on the key topics discussed in the annual meeting, emphasizing their efforts in serving the nation and its citizens and residents, and their commitment to realizing desired aspirations and comprehensive development, according to the Saudi Press Agency "SPA".
According to SPA, the 13 regional princes received by the Crown Prince are:
- Prince Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, Prince of Jazan Region.
- Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Prince of Riyadh Region.
- Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Prince of Tabuk Region.
- Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Prince of the Eastern Region.
- Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaid, Prince of Najran Region.
- Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Prince of Qassim Region.
- Prince Dr. Hussam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Prince of Al-Baha Region.
- Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Prince of Hail Region.
- Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Prince of Asir Region.
- Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Prince of Northern Borders Region.
- Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Prince of Medina Region.
- Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prince of Makkah Region.
- Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Prince of Al-Jawf Region.
The reception was attended by Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz.
According to the General Authority for Statistics in Saudi Arabia, the administrative division of the Kingdom is as follows: "According to the Regions System issued by Royal Decree No. (92/1) dated 27 Sha'ban 1412 Hijri, the Kingdom has been divided into 13 administrative regions, each region consisting of a number of governorates varying in number from one region to another, and the governorate is divided into centers that are administratively linked to the governorate or emirate, encompassing a number of population designations linked to it administratively."
