Arrest of Lebanese and Syrians as Part of Security Measures in Various Areas

The following statement was issued by the Army Command – Directorate of Guidance: As part of the security measures implemented by the military institution in various areas, units of the army, along with patrols from the Directorate of Intelligence, arrested 13 individuals as follows: Raids on the homes of wanted persons in the Fanar area – Mount Lebanon led to the arrest of citizens (H.M.Z.), (H.R.Z.), (A.M.Z.), (M.A.Z.), (H.A.Z.), (H.M.Z.), and (A.H.Z.) for engaging in drug and arms trafficking and for firing gunshots on different dates. A large quantity of drugs and equipment for manufacturing them were seized from their possession. Citizens (A.H.) and (K.H.) were arrested for firing shots during an incident in the Hara Al-Barani area – Tripoli, and citizen (W.H.) was arrested for firing shots. Syrians (A.H.) and (A.H.) were arrested in the Wadi Jaloul area – Tripoli for their involvement in an incident, and military weapons along with a quantity of ammunition and military gear were seized from them. Camps for displaced Syrians in the town of Arsal – Bekaa were raided, and Syrian (A.K.) was arrested; a quantity of Captagon pills and hashish were seized from him. The seized items were handed over, and investigations with the detainees began under the supervision of the relevant judiciary.
