The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division, indicated that "in implementation of Cabinet Decision No. 18 dated 28/2/2024, and following the announcement issued by this General Directorate on 5/3/2024, and in order to secure the required number to complete the recruitment process that encompasses all segments of Lebanese society, the General Directorate announces the reception of new volunteer applications for males and females, in the capacity of a trainee officer."
The announcement stated that "applications must be submitted personally by interested individuals wishing to volunteer, starting from 5/4/2024 until 17/5/2024, at any of the regional units or police stations in the Regional Gendarmerie and Beirut Police Units, according to a 'Request Form' that can be obtained through the link https://www.isf.gov.lb/ar/recruit."
The division pointed out that "the applicant must meet the following conditions:
- Must have been a Lebanese citizen for at least ten years.
- Must not exceed, as of 31/12/2024:
- 30 years for those holding a university degree or its official equivalent.
- 27 years for those holding a Lebanese Baccalaureate Certificate - Second Section, or its official equivalent, or holders of a technical baccalaureate.
- 25 years for holders of the official intermediate certificate or its equivalent, or holders of the technical certificate (BP).
- Must be single, divorced without children, or widowed without children.
- Must enjoy civil rights and should not have been convicted of any felony of any kind, or a dishonorable misdemeanor, or attempted dishonorable misdemeanor, or imprisonment for a period exceeding six months.
- Must have physical eligibility that qualifies them for service in the Internal Security Forces.
- Must have good conduct and morals, and should not have practiced any dishonorable or unethical profession in their civil life.
- Height requirements must be at least:
For males:
- 164 cm if holding a university degree or its official equivalent.
- 167 cm for other candidates.
For females:
- 160 cm if holding a university degree or its official equivalent.
- 163 cm for other female candidates."
The announcement further stated that "the applications must be accompanied by the following documents:
- An individual civil registry extract and a family civil registry extract, neither of which should date back more than three months.
- Two certified recent photographs from the local mayor.
- A judicial record not older than one month.
- A certified copy of the educational certificate held by the applicant."
The division also noted that "the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces, in its efforts to secure the required number, emphasizes that priority in selection will be given to those who previously submitted volunteer applications during the period of 2018-2019."
