Most stock markets in the Gulf region closed lower on Tuesday, with the Qatari index falling by 0.2% due to a 0.8% drop in the share of Industries Qatar. The Dubai index decreased by 0.39%, and the Abu Dhabi Securities Market index fell by 0.43%. The Kuwaiti index dropped by 0.8%, the Muscat index by 0.5%, and the Bahraini index by 0.08%. The Saudi index was the only survivor, rising by 0.5% as shares of the state oil giant Aramco increased by 0.9%, and shares of Saudi Telecom Company rose by 3%. Outside the Gulf region, Egypt's leading stock index decreased by 1.3% due to a 1.7% drop in the share of the Commercial International Bank.
