China successfully launched the new Gaofen 11-05 satellite dedicated to remote sensing of the Earth today, Friday. According to information from the magazine Zhongguo Hantianbao, the launch was conducted from the Taiyuan spaceport in northern China at 11:03 Beijing time (06:03 Moscow time), using a Chinese Long March-4B rocket. This satellite was developed by the China National Space Administration and will be used for remote sensing of the Earth in various fields, such as urban planning, road design, agricultural crop assessment, and monitoring environmental disasters and mitigating their impacts. It will join the group of Gaofen satellites launched by China between 2018 and 2022.
