Latest Developments in Nur Shams Camp, Tulkarem

Israeli forces continued their operations in Nur Shams Camp in Tulkarem today, Saturday, with media reports indicating the deaths of seven Palestinians and the injury of four Israeli soldiers during the ongoing operation. The Palestinian news agency "Wafa" reported that "Israeli forces are still holding the bodies of the Palestinians and preventing rescue crews from reaching them."

Israeli forces had stormed the camp with military bulldozers on Thursday evening, imposing a blockade and engaging in deliberate destruction of the infrastructure, homes, and property of citizens. They conducted raids and searches of dozens of homes throughout the neighborhoods of the camp, arresting many young men, assaulting citizens, and vandalizing their homes, causing widespread damage. Several young men were subjected to field interrogation.

On Saturday, national and Islamic forces in Tulkarem declared a day of mourning for the souls of the martyrs and a comprehensive commercial strike across all aspects of life in protest against the occupation’s crimes and its aggression against our people.

Palestinian media reported the killing of Mohammed Jabir "Abu Shujaa," the commander of the Nur Shams Camp battalion in the Al-Quds Brigades, after being directly targeted by the Israeli army along with a group of armed men who were barricaded inside one of the homes.

On the other hand, the Israeli army radio announced that one officer and three soldiers were injured during the operation in Nur Shams Camp, with Israeli sources confirming that two of them are in serious condition.
