Crack in Netanyahu's Plane: Will His Trip to Washington Be Delayed?

A crack was discovered in the windshield of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's plane after its flight to the United States earlier this week. Netanyahu's office told Ynet that the plane "landed safely in Washington, with a small crack in the outer windshield. After a thorough inspection and approval from the relevant authorities to return home, the plane flew back to Israel and landed safely." It was reported that "this is a common malfunction in aircraft and poses no danger. Meanwhile, the crack has been repaired, and the plane is completely ready for its upcoming flight." This discovery is not expected to delay Netanyahu's trip to Washington next week. The refurbished Boeing 767 landed in Israel after it had taken off for the United States on Tuesday to bring back equipment and some security personnel ahead of Netanyahu's address to Congress. Modifications were made to the aircraft after the Prime Minister's office recently discovered that the plane could only accommodate 60 passengers, which is significantly fewer than the expected number of aides, guards, and journalists.
