Member of the "Loyalty to the Resistance" bloc, MP Hassan Fadlallah, emphasized that "what is required from the American administration is one thing: to stop the war on Gaza, as the decision is in its hands if it is serious. Instead of conveying messages of intimidation, it should inform Netanyahu of a real decision to halt the massacre against the Palestinian people. Only then will the other fronts, including Lebanon, cease; otherwise, it will be useless, as the resistance in Lebanon does not yield to threats and is prepared for all possibilities. What it is doing is to pressure Netanyahu's government to stop its aggression against Gaza."
Fadlallah's statements came after performing the Eid al-Adha prayer in the city of Bint Jbeil and touring several border villages. He articulated that "the fate of the people of the south is to make sacrifices to live with dignity, and they stand today in a commendable position, as is their history, to support the oppressed in Gaza. The scene of the large popular attendance and the Eid prayers in the border villages sends a message of pride, dignity, and resilience from this sacrificing people who stand in solidarity with their brothers in Gaza in blood and steadfastness. It is a message confirming their determination to hold on to the land; this solid environment is hard to break, and its stance is to cling to the resistance and continue the path with it until victory is achieved."
He asserted that "the enemy will not gain political benefits through its threats, as Netanyahu and his army are in a real predicament. If the American administration wants to extract him from it, there is only one way: to stop the war. The resistance in Lebanon and Palestine will not offer rewards to rescue that administration and Netanyahu from his predicament. What the enemy fails to achieve in the field, it will not obtain through politics. The idea of a buffer zone is a delusion haunting the enemy's leaders and is not a subject for discussion, as the resistance exists on its land and defends it, while the enemy occupies the land of the Palestinian, Syrian, and Lebanese people, and it must withdraw from it. The only viable proposal is to cease the aggression in accordance with what the resistance in Palestine accepts, so that the Lebanon front can cease, and then Lebanon will determine the steps to take to protect its people and sovereignty. The enemy is not in a position to impose its conditions; it is internally besieged and incapable of achieving its goals. The resistance inflicts painful strikes on it and has imposed a deterrent balance in Lebanon that protects the rest of the areas, even if the burden falls on the border people."
He pointed out that "Lebanon is in a position of strength, and those who wish to exert pressure should go to the enemy entity and impose a ceasefire on it. We are in a position to defend our country and support the oppressed people in Gaza, and the Lebanon front will not cease until the war on that people stops."
