Under Armed Threat: One of Biden's Guards Robbed

A U.S. Secret Service agent assigned to protect President Joe Biden was robbed at gunpoint on the same night that President Biden was visiting Los Angeles for a fundraising event for his re-election campaign over the weekend. According to the Associated Press, the agent was returning from work on Saturday night when he was confronted by an armed individual in a residential area in Tustin, about an hour's drive southeast of Los Angeles, according to the U.S. Secret Service.

The agency added that someone called the Tustin Police Department just after 9:30 PM to report the robbery. The police stated that the agent had his bag stolen at gunpoint. On Monday, the Tustin Police said they had not found a suspect. Officers located some of the agent's stolen belongings in the area. The police reported that a silver Infiniti FX35 was seen leaving the scene.

President Joe Biden and former President Barack Obama held a fundraising event attended by Hollywood stars in Los Angeles on Saturday, which raised over $30 million for Biden's re-election campaign. The police stated that the agent, who was unharmed, fired his weapon during the confrontation. The Secret Service indicated that it does not know if anyone was struck by the gunfire.
