After returning to the spotlight, Dutch seismologist Frank Hoogerbiets unleashed a wave of anger on the platform "X," attacking the media. The controversial scientist considered that some media outlets "write utter nonsense," urging his followers not to believe them unless the information is confirmed through his website or official social media channels.
It appears that Hoogerbiets was referring to media outlets that reported information attributed to him, which in reality is unfounded. The Dutch researcher heads the "Solar System Geometry Survey" (SSGEOS), a research organization focused on monitoring the geometry emerging from celestial bodies and its relationship to seismic activity on Earth.
His theories regarding the movement of planets and stars and the occurrence of earthquakes have stirred controversy among scientists and researchers, with some accusing him of spreading misleading information. His predictions and warnings have caused significant panic worldwide, linking his predictions to planetary conjunctions, alignments, and formations, which he defends vigorously.
Meanwhile, the majority of astronomers and geologists reject the Dutch scientist's controversial theories, deeming them unscientific and insisting that there is no connection between the movement, alignments, or conjunctions of planets and earthquake activities on Earth. Astronomers assert that the only scientifically proven relationship between the Earth and celestial bodies is the relationship between the Earth and the Moon during tidal phenomena, with no confirmation of any other relationship.
Many scientists have warned about individuals impersonating experts who spread fear and panic among people for the sake of fame or to gather interactions on social media. According to Hoogerbiets' theory, which he staunchly defends, critical geometry does not always lead to significant earthquakes. It depends on the state of the Earth’s crust, specifically the amount of pressure between tectonic plates. This indicates a direct relationship between the buildup of pressure in the Earth's crust and the electromagnetic charge produced by critical planetary geometry that may lead to major earthquakes.
