The "Paris 2024" Olympic Games are expected to provide an economic boost ranging from 6.7 to 11 billion euros, according to a study conducted by the organizers of the Games. A report on the International Olympic Committee's website, published by the "Centre de Droit et d'Economie du Sport," indicated that "the 17-year forecasting period includes the planning phase until the end of the 'legacy' phase—meaning long-term benefits—by 2034." During the Games, it is anticipated that between 2.3 and 3.1 million tourists will visit Paris to attend the events, approximately 64% of whom will be French. According to the Paris tourism authority, tourists coming to the capital during the Games are expected to spend around 2.6 billion euros in total. The government funding for the 2024 Olympic Games amounts to 3 billion euros, primarily covering projects aimed at meeting the long-term needs of local communities. Estimates suggest that for every euro of government spending, there will be 3 euros in economic profit. The Paris Games represent a critical test for the International Olympic Committee and its efforts to make the bidding process for hosting the Games smoother and less competitive, which will have a positive impact on host countries.
