Today, Sharjah International Airport Authority signed a memorandum of understanding with the General Command of Sharjah Police, represented by the Sharjah Airport Police Department, to strengthen mutual cooperation in determining and developing the level of services and facilities provided to travelers through Sharjah Airport. The signing ceremony took place at the Sharjah International Airport Authority headquarters and was attended by the Chairman of the Sharjah International Airport Authority, Ali Salem Al-Madfoun, the General Commander of Sharjah Police, Major General Saif Al-Zari Al-Shamsi, and several senior officials from both sides.
Ali Salem Al-Madfoun confirmed the authority's commitment to adopting joint initiatives and activating memorandums of understanding aimed at continuing the development of travel procedures at Sharjah Airport and ensuring a distinguished experience for all travelers, in accordance with targets for efficiency, effectiveness, and quality, aligned with the highest standards of comfort, ease, and continuity.
He stated that signing the memorandum is an important step to enhance the efforts of work teams and relevant departments, ensuring their roles are ongoing to elevate service levels and the standards of delivery in common areas with Sharjah Police. Al-Madfoun praised the fruitful cooperation between the two sides through the efforts provided by the airport police department, which positively and effectively reflects in defining roles and responsibilities and the specifics of services provided, ensuring compliance with their standards and adherence to performance indicators at all stages of travel procedures, and providing necessary support effectively and quickly around the clock, especially during peak times. This includes the arrival and departure areas, boarding gates, passenger baggage checks, and employee entry and exit gates.
Major General Saif Al-Zari Al-Shamsi stated that the General Command of Sharjah Police seeks to strengthen partnerships with various institutions in both the public and private sectors in the Emirate of Sharjah, including the Sharjah International Airport Authority, to add value to the services provided to travelers at the airport. He clarified that the Sharjah Airport Police Department plays a vital role in the excellence and success of the services provided by the airport, ensuring compliance with performance standards efficiently and guaranteeing the presence of qualified personnel at all times to secure the safety of travelers, their luggage, airline crews, and all airport operations smoothly and effectively, while positively interacting with all categories of travelers.
