Palestinians were killed today, Friday, and others injured in the ongoing Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip. In the latest updates, local sources told "Wafa" news agency that "martyrs arrived in pieces at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah due to intense shelling conducted by Israeli aircraft on Al-Bureij refugee camp in Central Gaza, while martyrs fell in the targeting of a residential home in the New Camp northwest of Al-Nusairat Camp in Central Gaza."
The sources clarified that "at least eight martyrs fell, including two children and three women, in the shelling on Al-Bureij Camp. Additionally, at least four martyrs fell in the bombing of an Israeli aircraft on a house in the camp." Israeli army aircraft shelled a house around Al-Noor Mosque in Al-Bureij Camp, leading to injuries and fires in the home and nearby area, according to "Wafa".
In southern Gaza, Israeli forces opened fire heavily near the town of Abasan al-Jadida east of Khan Younis. The channel reported that Israeli artillery targeted the city center of Rafah, which is currently facing continuous airstrikes. An Israeli shelling targeted a residential apartment at the al-Sanafor intersection in the Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City, resulting in injuries.
Simultaneously, Israeli army forces withdrew this morning from all areas in northern Gaza after a military operation specifically targeting Jabalia Camp. According to media sources, Israeli forces withdrew from Jabalia Camp, Tal al-Zaatar, the Beit Lahia Project, Beit Hanoun, and all areas in northern Gaza after a 20-day operation. Civil defense personnel began recovering the bodies of victims from several areas.
Meanwhile, the "Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades," the military wing of "Hamas," announced that its fighters targeted eight Israeli soldiers with anti-personnel explosives, causing casualties in Rafah. They reported targeting six Israeli Merkava tanks and a personnel carrier in Yebna Camp in Rafah, southern Gaza, and Beit Lahia in the north.
They mentioned that their fighters targeted an Israeli force that fortified itself in a house, causing casualties among them in the middle of the Jabalia Camp in northern Gaza, and targeted the invading occupation forces behind Tal Zarab in Rafah with mortars.
For its part, "Saraya al-Quds" - the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement - pointed out that "its fighters shelled the occupation vehicles and soldiers encroaching around Tal Zarab in Rafah with mortars. They jointly targeted two Israeli military vehicles around Al-Shawka School east of Rafah." They indicated that their fighters "shelled gathering points for the occupation soldiers and their vehicles around the Abd Jabr area in Yebna Camp, and Al-Qaws site south of Rafah."
In turn, the Israeli army announced the death of two soldiers, one of whom was in northern Gaza and belonged to the "Beslamah" Brigade of the Officers' School, while the second soldier was killed in battles in southern Gaza and belonged to the Givati Brigade. In this context, Israeli media reported the army stating that "they are operating in the center of Rafah city, and the operations against Hamas are precise and based on intelligence information." An Israeli national security advisor noted that "Benjamin Netanyahu's government will not agree to end its war against Hamas in exchange for the release of all remaining prisoners held by the movement."
