The former president of the Progressive Socialist Party in Lebanon, Walid Jumblatt, stated that "no one gives lessons to Majdal Shams," emphasizing that "Israel's claim that the resistance fired a missile at Majdal Shams is a lie." He noted in an interview with Al Jazeera that "Israel attacks, kills, and destroys at every moment in Lebanon, and it is time for Israel to understand that it cannot eliminate the spirit of resistance," explaining that "Majdal Shams is Arab and most of its residents rejected Israeli citizenship." Jumblatt stressed that he is "counting on the efforts of House Speaker Nabih Berri to reach a serious ceasefire with the American envoy in southern Lebanon," adding that "Hezbollah is Lebanese resistance and part of Lebanon." He confirmed that "Hezbollah respects the rules of engagement in the operations it carries out, and the party responds when Israel violates them."
