This Thursday morning, the town of Ajalton woke up to a horrific crime that claimed the life of J. Zogheib (41 years old) after her housemaid stabbed her multiple times with a knife. She soon succumbed to her injuries.
According to details, "a housemaid of Cameroonian nationality attempted to open a safe located in her employer's room (J. Zogheib) with a knife around 1 AM to steal her passport. When J. Zogheib woke up, a fight broke out between them, during which the maid stabbed her five times in the back and shoulder."
Reports indicate that "the victim's three children were at home in their rooms during the incident. They were awakened by the sounds of the fight and rushed to their mother's room, only to be shocked to find her lying on the floor and bleeding."
It was noted that "neighbors heard screams coming from the house late at night and alerted the authorities about the situation."
As a result, security forces arrived and found the maid still inside the apartment, as she had not attempted to flee before their arrival. She confessed to killing J. Zogheib because she had withheld her passport.
The neighbors of the victim stated that the maid had a good relationship with the family, describing it as more than special since Zogheib had treated the maid well since she entered the home seven months ago. The apartment has been sealed for investigation until the circumstances of the crime are revealed and the inquiry is completed.
