The Iranian police intelligence agency announced the arrest of a spy working for Israeli Mossad in Qom province, central Iran.
According to a statement from the intelligence agency, "Our forces were able to arrest an element of the terrorist Israeli Mossad in Qom province." The statement mentioned that "following the death of the late president Ebrahim Raisi and his companions in the presidential plane crash, this individual, under the identity of 'Sayed Hassan Faqih', aimed to incite unrest," adding, "Hassan Faqih has a history of involvement in unrest and has posted insulting tweets against Raisi and his companions."
It continued that "in criminal procedures and digital data extraction, documents regarding his ties to the terrorist Mossad organization, his media role, and his cooperation with anti-revolution satellite networks were found. The accused has been referred to prison by court order, and the case is still under investigation."
On June 5 of this year, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced the arrest of a spy working for Mossad in Ardabil province, northwest Iran. The Fars News agency, affiliated with the Revolutionary Guard, quoted a security source stating that "the person arrested is a resident of one of the southern provinces of the country, where he had been gathering information needed by Mossad from within Iran."
The source added, "The mentioned individual was in contact with senior officers of the Mossad espionage agency via a social media network, and under the guise of editorial activity, he was collecting information needed by Mossad from inside the country." The security source indicated that "after his presence in several provinces with the intention of hiding and finally leaving the country, he was arrested immediately upon entering Ardabil during a surprise operation." The Iranian authorities did not disclose the nationality or identity of the arrested individual.
