The Turkish National Intelligence Organization revealed that agents from the Israeli intelligence agency "Mossad" were involved in surveillance and espionage activities in Turkey and Europe. According to the Turkish newspaper "Sabah," these individuals were arrested in Istanbul during April of this year for working on behalf of Mossad. The newspaper obtained details of the ongoing investigation into these persons, which included a total of 9 members in the espionage cell, 8 of whom were arrested last year. Six of them were charged with attempting to obtain confidential government information and engaging in political and military espionage, while one member of this group, of Lebanese origin, remains at large.
"Sabah" reported that the leader of the espionage cell is insurance company owner Ahmed Ersin Tumulucali. His wife, son born in Germany, stepdaughter, and others were also involved in carrying out Mossad’s missions, which included monitoring and photographing individuals of interest to Israeli intelligence in Germany, Turkey, as well as in Georgia and Lebanon. It was also reported that Tumulucali held meetings with Mossad coordinators in various European countries and received €300,000 for his work.
Earlier in the year, as part of Turkey's counter-espionage efforts, 34 individuals were arrested on suspicion of working for the Israeli intelligence agency "Mossad" in Turkey. The Turkish newspaper "Hurriyet" pointed out that Israel has waged a spying war against Turkey but should be mindful of the consequences. This was followed by several other operations to apprehend individuals collaborating with Mossad in Turkey.
